Gmail is a very popular mail service from Google. Most people already has an existing Gmail account already. If you wish to use Gmail for your mail services so that the emails can be linked to your personal account you can use the following methods.
This method is called redirection, its a process where by emails come into the inbox of your website however copy of the email will be forwarded on to a different email address.
If we have the email address of firstname.lastname@example.org for our business website and we have the email address of email@example.com. We can get all emails which comes into firstname.lastname@example.org to be forwarded on to email@example.com.
A copy of the email will still remain at firstname.lastname@example.org but an exact copy of the email will be sent to our personal address of email@example.com.
This method also works with other email providers if you use @aol.com, @hotmail.co.uk and @yahoo.co.uk. In essence you can specify email address and it can be more than 1 email address for the emails to be redirected to as well.
Receiving Email at Gmail
The method above describes the process of emails going into someones personal mailbox, however the process is via the email coming into the address of: firstname.lastname@example.org
Sending Email to email@example.com >> Receives Email on firstname.lastname@example.org >> Redirecting / Forwarding Email to email@example.com
Instead of forwarding the Emails to Google, you can look to have the emails directly go to your Gmail account, this is a paid service from Gmail as the email address will be firstname.lastname@example.org but with the Gmail interface.
