Private SQL

The private SQL is an database which only you would use compared to a shared SQL database within the cluster. The database itself is unlimited in terms of storage capacity and the number of simultaneous connections it can maintain. However the database performance will be dependent on the RAM it has been assigned. The database RAM by default is 128MB

The RAM can be upgraded from 512MB, 1024MB (1GB), 2048MB (2GB) and 4096MB (4GB). The billing cycle is a minimum of 3 months where as the hosting package billing is per 12 months. The data has 2 MYSQL versions, they include 5.6 and 5.7. It also offers the alternative database of MariaDB 10.1. Depending on your usage you can also use PostgreSQL 9.4 / 9.5 / 9.6.

Accessing the database can be done via 2 main ways, the phpmyadmin interface at and through its private IP. The private SQL has an IP of “10.*.*.*”. This is an private IP address where by only local services can connect to the database, this means that only shared hosting packages can make use of the private SQL.
