For the phpMyAdmin configuration to work on a default server you need 2 pre-requisites installed on the server first. You need a web server pre-installed to the server and a MySQL installed.
At this point you can install the phpMyAdmin to the server. You may try to visit the phpMyadmin page but it doesn’t load up. This is because the web server isn’t aware of phpMyadmin. You need to add it to the web servers configuration:
echo Include /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf >> /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
Afterwards you need to restart the web server, this will enable the phpMyAdmin to load up.
